I know what you’re thinking: Is Those Shocking, Shaking Days: Indonesian Hard, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock and Funk 1970-1978 really as mind-bendingly, earth-shatteringly, consciousness-alteringly awesome as its title would suggest? Abso-fucking-lutely. Those on the prowl for a crate-digging, continent-jumping collection of undeniable grooves, looking-glass classic-rockisms, and general weirdness need search no further than this fantastic, raucous stuff – most of it made under the shadow of a totalitarian government with a censorship fetish.
