This Don McLean classic was a song my grandfather Victor loved, which always suprised me. Today would have been his 94th birthday, and I present this as my tribute to him.

Gary Walker & the Rain – “Magazine Woman” (1968)
This slice of psychedelia comes from Gary Walker & the Rain from 1968. Walker (nee Leeds), who was a member of the hit-making trio The Walker Brothers (feat. Scott Walker) in the mid-60s and again in the mid-to-late-70s, sadly passed away this weekend from liver cancer. We present this as our tribute to him.
