“Angel’s Dust”

November 26, 2010 at 12:38 am (Poetry & Literature)

In the middle of the night,
When I’m all alone,
You appear to me like a sweet reverie
Sprinkling your angel’s dust into my eyes
And I cannot see anything
Except your naked beauty before me

You’re all that my heart desires,
The reason it beats like a raging thunder
I long to kiss you for a thousand years
And protect you from any harm
I promise to make all your dreams come true

An image frozen in my mind
Of the two of us engaged in a passionate embrace
My hands softly caressing your body
This dream that offers no escape,
To which I gladly succumb

The future once appeared so dark and grim
Suddenly it has turned as blinding as the sun
As the past slowly recedes from memory
For this heart has been captured and held at ransom
To you, I have surrendered my life.
