Les McCann – “The Harlem Buck Strut Dance” (1972)
Great fusion classic from McCann’s Layers album – which was released in November of 1972. This was one of the first all-electronic jazz albums. It is also the first album to ever be recorded in 32-track format. Definitely ahead of its time.
John Coltrane – “Spiral” (1959)
Taken from Coltrane’s great Giant Steps album from 1959. This album is a bonafide classic by one of the greatest saxophones in the history of jazz.
