De La Soul – “Buddy (Instrumental)” (1989)
Rare instrumental version of “Buddy” from 1989…

Igor Stravinsky – “Lullaby and Final Hymn” (Live – 1965)
Igor Stravinsky conducts The New Philharmonia Orchestra performing this section of his own “L’Oiseau de feu” (“The Firebird”) ballet suite (written in 1910). Recorded live at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
Stravinsky was one of the most influential composers of the 20th century.
Leonard Bernstein – “Rhapsody in Blue” (1976 – Part 2)
The second half of Gershwin’s brilliant “Rhapsody in Blue.” a musical composition for solo piano and jazz band written in 1924, which combines elements of classical music with jazz-influenced portions.
Here, Leonard Bernstein plays the piano. Not sure of which orchestra performs with him.
I encourage everyone out there to listen to this timeless piece of music.
My favorite section of the whole piece comes about 3 min. and 10 sec. into this segment (and continues for about 2 minutes). I think it is one of the most beautiful passages of music ever written. Absolutely brilliant!
Leonard Bernstein – “Rhapsody in Blue” (1976 – Part 1)
Leonard Bernstein & orchestra performing George Gershwin’s famous “Rhapsody in Blue” in 1976 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Bernstein plays the piano.
This classic work of art is probably my favorite piece of music of all time and I highly recommend it to anyone out there who has yet to here this amazing composition. Pure brilliance – Gershwin was probably the greatest composer of the 20th century and died far too young.
Unfortunately, this is split in two.
Frank Sinatra – “A Man and His Music Part II” (1966 – Part 2)

“But Beautiful”
“When Your Lover Has Gone”
More to come…
“Leonard Cohen: I’m Your Man” (Theatrical Trailer – 2006)
Trailer for the documentary of LC that came out in 2006. I haven’t seen it yet but it looks like a good one.
Sly & the Family Stone (Live – 2007)
Resurrected from the dead!!…Sly comes back out of retirement after way too many years. This was recorded at the North Sea Jazz Festival on July 15, 2007.
The band performs “If You Let Me Stay,” “Sing a Simple Song” and “I Want to Take You Higher” (which unfornutately cuts out after a minute or so).
Sly Stone – “I Get High on You (Disco Remix)” (1979)
Another track from the 1979 disco remix album Ten Years Too Soon (see details below).
(Audio only)
Q-Tip – “Do U Dig U?” (2001)
Another track from Q-Tip’s criminally unreleased album Kamaal the Abstract…
The song ends abruptly, which means it must lead into the next track on the album.

Focal Matter
I was drinkin some vodka
Now I’m gonna cold cock ya
You ain’t fuckin shit to me
I’m gonna blind ya now ya see
We went outside to rumble
He took a head over tumble
Shoulda stuck his head in an oven
Tonight his woman I’ll be lovin
And I don’t mean like McLovin
I’ll make ya cum now ya lustin
And from this vodka I be buzzin
I want hookers by the dozen
I’d even fuck my cousin
Or at least give her a kiss
This beer tastes like stale piss
Don’t you know I’m ubiquitous?
That means I’m everywhere like Visa
I play the bass guitar like Geezer
Don’t be actin like no skeezer
I’ll slice & dice ya like Benihana
Now I’m relaxin in the sauna
And I turn my radio up full blast
But I turn the station off real fast
All these singers, packaged & sold
2 years time, their CD be growin mold
So I open up another bottle
And I’m drivin with the top down
Comin at ya full throttle
Late at night, I’m the beat patroller
Had to leave her cuz I can’t control her
She was too much for my mind
I had to leave it all behind
Though I couldn’t get my mind
Off her luscious behind
A voluptuous derriere
I couldn’t help but sit and stare
I was like Buddha, simply frozen
I was one of the lucky chosen
And she came to me in a dream
She was all covered in peaches and cream
And now I’m back in the saddle
Roundin up bitches like cattle
Puttin them in my warchest
Now I’m outta here like Seacrest.
